"As a Doctor of Oriental Medicine,
I'm committed to one-on-one, personal health care. I
enjoy the process of finding the appropriate approach for
each patient. I actively work with each of my patients on
several levels simultaneously. Every treatment considers
your physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual
health. This holistic viewpoint creates a healing
environment, where you can learn more about yourself, and
what you can do to take greater responsibility for your
health and well-being. My ultimate goal as your
practitioner is helping restore your balance and
harmony. A harmonious system equals good health and
prevention."
"As a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, I also recognize western medicine has its place. I'm committed to working with both disciplines, when appropriate, for the highest good of the patient. Please feel free to inquire about my training--how long I've been in practice, what experience I've had with specific ailments, and what my basic philosophy of healing is."

"In the universe there is an immeasurable and indescribable force which those who live of the source call intention - and that absolutely everything that exists in the entire cosmos is attached to intent by a connecting link.
Sorcerers are not only concerned with understanding and explaining that connecting link, but they are especially concerned with cleansing it of the numbing effects brought about by all of the concerns of living at ordinary levels of consciousness." - Carlos Castaneda

Dr. Hampton's childhood studies focused on the art of figure drawing and human anatomy and led her to a successful career as a professional art director in New York City. She began experiencing migraines in college and turned to acupuncture as a treatment after western methods failed to relieve her pain. Her headaches stopped after the first treatment. After several years in business, Danielle chose to leave New York to pursue her lifelong interest in health. Her experience with acupuncture directed her toward Chinese medicine. She attended the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe and received her D.O.M. in 1995. Dr. Hampton was the creator and director of the Eldorado Acupuncture and Wellness Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico, a small association of practitioners dedicated to healing and holistic wellness.
While practicing traditional Chinese medicine, Dr. Hampton determined that some of her patients' conditions required more immediate relief than could be provided through traditional Chinese methods. She then began studying new techniques that would compliment her acupuncture practice and allow her to address more difficult and persistent conditions in a more effectively. Dr. Hampton has gradually included several new modalities into her practice. Her central intention, derived from traditional Chinese medicine, is to remind the body of how to be healthy by restoring those functions that have become imbalanced due to illness, injury, or stress. All modalities offered by Dr. Hampton share the common theme of pursuing balance by encouraging and supporting the body's natural tendency toward health.
After a decade of successful practice in New Mexico, Dr. Hampton relocated to Great Barrington, Massachusetts where she maintains a private practice and is a member of the Acupuncture Staff at the Canyon Ranch in Lenox.
HEALING TECHNIQUES
The healthy human body begins life with a built-in system of controls which maintain it in a healthy condition. Throughout our lives, many physical and psychological factors affect that system, sometimes resulting in the malfunction of the controls. These factors include toxic substances and pathogens, exposure to chemicals and allergens, gene defects, and traumatic or chronic emotional and psychological disturbances. Such malfunctions can result in different types of ill health, depending on which particular controls have been altered by these outside factors. Dr. Hampton's current practice uses several different approaches to diagnose these malfunctions and restore the patient's internal controls to their natural, healthy state.
Dr. Hampton's newest and most frequently used modality is the NeuroModulation Technique (NMT). This needleless technique works effectively on both chronic and acute ailments, including allergies, pain, migraines, common illnesses, arthritis and other joint conditions, degenerative diseases, environmental sensitivities, fatigue, insomnia, asthma, emotional and psychological disorders, side-effects of allopathic treatments such as chemotherapy, and many others. NMT can be applied to patients of all ages, from infancy to senior citizen. In each case, Dr. Hampton uses muscle response testing to assess the autonomic control system (ACS), which includes both the autonomic nervous system (controlling involuntary functions such as digestion, breathing, etc.) and the psychological and emotional factors that affect the autonomic nervous system. By communicating with the ACS through carefully defined "queries", Dr. Hampton can diagnose specific areas where the ACS is failing to properly control the body's system, and can apply appropriate correction statements that redirect the ACS toward normal, healthy function. She then uses the stimulation of the vertebrae using a Arthrostim instrument to gently tap on the vertebrae while the patient engages in a specific pattern of breathing. This simple, yet powerful treatment can result in immediate relief of back pain, muscle spasms, and joint discomfort from arthritis and other joint diseases. Beyond the immediate relief, however, these modalities address the root of the problem. Unlike many allopathic modalities, the goal of these techniques is not only to eliminate discomfort, but to correct fundamental imbalances in the ACS, allow the body to heal damaged tissues, and restore long-term health to the affected parts. Most conditions can be addressed over a period of days to several months through a series of one-hour sessions. This painless process takes place in the safe and relaxing atmosphere of the Wellness Center or over the phone.

"...the sense of being which in calm hours arises, we know not how, in the soul, is not diverse from things, from space, from light, from time, from man, but one with them and proceed obviously from the same source... Here is the fountain of action and of thought... We lie in the lap of immense intelligence." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
